This kitchen addition was designed as a classical backdrop for a collection of fine European antiques.

Limestone was selected for the walls with Tuscan order pilasters, entablature and pediments. The entablature, which encircles the room, has built-in lighting to illuminate the groin-vaulted ceiling. Each vault has an oculus to admit natural light into the space from the ceiling as well as wrought iron supports for the antique chadeliers.

Custom armoires will be designed and existing antique furniture pieces will be modified to house appliances and to provide storage.
