This residence is situated upon a knoll, maximizing the sweeping views of a forty acre nature conservancy field.

The precise placement of the floor-to-ceiling windows captures the striking views of the nature conservancy. Windows, vaulted skylights, and glass block walls balance the admittance of natural light as well as illuminate the center of the house.

Circulation zones yield visual and spatial continuity to the open spaces creating a gallery-like atmosphere that is articulated throughout the house.

This villa design was a collaboration between Stephen Bezas and Portuondo Perotti Architects of Miami, FL.

This mahogany library was one of many rooms designed for this gracious residence. Due to mahogany's natural ability to oxidize and patina over time, this wood was chosen as a warmly compatible back drop for volumes of leather-bound books.

Rhythm and repetition are articulated throughout the room defined by iconic order pilasters bordering the bookcases.

A coffered ceiling, creating depth and dimension, holds an antique chandelier. A chair rail, which encircles the room, separates the bookcases above from the enclosed storage areas below.

This limestone facade residence was to be located on five park-like acres. The Beaux-Arts styling of the exterior with its rich decorative program and sumptuous materials was to be reflected in the interior architecture as well.

This kitchen addition was designed as a classical backdrop for a collection of fine European antiques.

Limestone was selected for the walls with Tuscan order pilasters, entablature and pediments. The entablature, which encircles the room, has built-in lighting to illuminate the groin-vaulted ceiling. Each vault has an oculus to admit natural light into the space from the ceiling as well as wrought iron supports for the antique chadeliers.

Custom armoires will be designed and existing antique furniture pieces will be modified to house appliances and to provide storage.
